1st day: Malpensa Airport – Bergamo (around 93 km)
At the arrival in Malpensa Airport pickup of the car and departure for Bergamo. Free dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
2nd day: Bergamo/Seriana Valley: Trekking to the Serio Waterfalls / Trekking to the Refuges
Breakfast in hotel. Day dedicated to the discover of the Serio Waterfalls (diurnal opening days 11h-11h30: 17 June, 19 august, 16 September, 14 October and 14 July (evening opening 22h-22h30 – parking to pay on site). Most notably, the scenes where the couple hikes through what seems like a postcard were shot at Bergamo’s Serio Waterfalls, known for being the tallest in Italy and second-tallest in all of Europe. When the waterfalls are closed we suggest you to do a trekking to the Refuges located in Seriana or Brembana Valleys. Free lunch or possibility to take a picnic lunch with typical products (addition on request). Free dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
3rd day: Bergamo – Crema (around 72 km)
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning guided visit of Bergamo, where Oliver and Elio spend the last days of their romance. The old city lies on the hill overlooking the plain since Roman times, sheltered by an imposing Venetian wall, enclosing thousand and one treasures. Lunch and afternoon free for the visit of Bergamo. Free dinner and overnight stay in hotel located in the surroundings of Crema.
4th day: Crema – Pandino (around 13 km) – Moscazzano – Crema (around 11 km)
Breakfast in hotel. Day dedicated to the guided visit of the places where the movie has been shot. Pandino: visit to Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III (in front of the Castle – entrance to the Castle € 6 per person) and to the typical monuments. Then you will visit the historical centre of Crema, Piazza Duomo and its monuments: Municipal Palace, Dome, Torrazzo, via Marazzi e piazza Premoli (places linked to the movie). Free lunch in a central restaurant or in Via Vai di Bolzone, where the troupe had lunch during the shooting. In the afternoon visit of Moscazzano where you will see the external of Villa Albergoni, the square with the Church (outside) and the Belvedere Cafè (where some scenes have been turned), after the visit continues to Corte Palasio to see the external of Villa Trivulzio, where the scene of application of the water takes place. Free dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
5th day: Crema – Sirmione (around 100 km)
Breakfast in hotel. • In the morning departure to Sirmione. We suggest a stop in Brescia. Free lunch. • Free dinner and overnight stay in hotel located in the surroundings of Sirmione.
6th day: Sirmione
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning free visit to Grotte di Catullo where a scene of the movie has been turned (entrance to the cave around € 6 per person). At a key moment during Elio and Oliver’s blossoming relationship, the two tag along with Elio’s father, professor Pearlman, to the bottom of the Dolomites to check out an archaeological discovery at Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake. Located approximately an hour and a half by car from both Milan and Crema, Lake Garda is home to Grotte di Catullo, ancient remnants of a high-class first-century Roman villa with impressive views of the surrounding area. Lunch and afternoon free. Free dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
7th day: Sirmione
Breakfast in hotel. Day and lunch free. Free dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
8th day: Sirmione – Malpensa Airport (around 180 km)
Breakfast in hotel. Return to Malpensa Airport and delivery of the car.
